A marriage of Barossa Valley (79%) and Eden Valley (21%) fruit, the Barossa Valley contributes plushness and concentration whilst the Eden Valley component brings elegance and structure to the blend. The average age of vines is 50 years old and maturation takes place in a mixture of new (15%) and seasoned French oak for a period of 20 months.

Magnificent richness and purity of fruit combine with a gorgeous velvety feel.

Dense inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Intense dark plum, liquorice and ripe blackberry aromas combine over dark chocolate, vanillin oak, earth and spice elements. Rich, dark and deeply concentrated the palate is swamped with liquorice, dark plum, blackberry and black cherry flavours that fill every corner of the mouth. Decadent and plush in its textural feel, nuances of dark chocolate, vanillin oak, subtle fennel and spice are also apparent. Silky smooth tannins conceal a structured framework. Superb power with a long lavishly fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

Other Reviews….
Deep, concentrated purple/red hue with a rich, ripe aroma of violets, blackberry and hints of spice and background sooty and earthy notes. The wine is intense and bright, with rich sweet fruit on the mid-palate backed up by strong but supple tannins. Very long carry. A most impressive shiraz, the high and low country components fitting together seamlessly.
