2017 Terenzi Balbino Vermentino

From the Maremma region of Tuscany, this is a very rich, intensely flavoured example of Vermentino. Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Lifted lime, tropical fruit and green apple aromas sail from the glass followed by fresh herb notes. Richly concentrated ripe pear, tropical fruit and lime flavours flood the mouth and in the process create a fullish textural feel. Traces of honeysuckle and spicy fresh herbs also make an appearance. Finishes dry with mouth watering acidity and a delicious long fruity aftertaste.
