2017 Squitchy Lane Vineyard Chardonnay

Barrel fermented and matured in 16% new French oak for 8 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine, dried honey and lemon butter are trailed by some nougat and spice notes. Showing good concentration are flavours of nectarines, ripe pears and dried honey which are very rounded in their feel yet finish with resounding freshness. Subtle elements of citrusy nougat, light lemon butter and spice are also evident. Good depth with a fleshy yet vibrant medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
