2017 Sangreal By Farr Pinot Noir

Dark red in colour with black tinged edges and a bright dark red hue. Intensely aromatic with the whole bunch (dried clove) characters more prominent on the nose than the Farrside, they weave in between red cherry, sour cherry and strawberry fruit notes. Nuances of gamey forest floor, smoky cedar and spicy herbs are also evident. Rich cherry and strawberry fruits are delivered with varietals trademark power without weight characteristic across the palate. Texturally supple, elements of dried clove, forest floor, traces of dried meats and spicy cedar ensue. Slightly lower in acidity than the Farrside yet still remains fresh. Refined velvet like tannins and a long savoury aftertaste.
