2017 Rolf Binder Shiraz

Produced from 90% Shiraz with balance made up from Grenache and Mataro. Maturation took place in a mix of new American oak barrels, two year old American and shaved French barrels. Totally opaque midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady ripe dark plum, liquorice and black cherry aromas are trailed by smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper. Medium to full bodied with a plump feel the palate dishes up luscious dark plum, liquorice and black cherry fruits infused with fennel, subtle smoky oak and spiced dried meats. Silky textural feel with cashmere like tannins. Concludes long and opulent.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
