Cellar: 4 - 5 Years (2024-2025)
ABV: 14%

This Langhe Nebbiolo is second label for the Produttori del Barbaresco co-operative and it is made with the grapes from younger vines. It still has the quality necessary to be classified as Barbaresco, but the winery declassifies it in order to sell it at a younger age and maintain the Barbaresco quality at a high standard. Produced every year it ranges from 10% to 30% of the total production depending on the vintage (the better the vintage the less that is bottled under the “Nebbiolo” label as it is allocated instead to the Barbaresco).

Matured for 6 months in large neutral oak barrels. Bright dark red colour with a slight tinge of black to the edges and a light red hue. Fragrantly scented rose petal, red raspberry and ripe cherry aromas are trailed by fresh herb, light earth and spice. Delicious ripe cherry, red raspberry and wild strawberry fruits have a juicy feel to them and are supported by bright acidity. Infusions of dried rose petals, fresh herbs and spicy earth are also evident. Dryish finish with a firm, grippy yet balanced tannin structure. Excellent length with a savoury red fruited aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews…..
The 2017 Langhe Nebbiolo is an elegant expression that shows tonic and fresh fruit with wild berry, rose hip and tilled earth. This wine excels in terms of presenting Nebbiolo in its most pure and naked state. This vintage shows an extra level of concentration and textural richness with a clear tannic bite on the close. Drink by 2019-2025.
