2017 Powell & Son Chatterton's Shiraz

This Shiraz has stunning depth of colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core and a very deep black dark red hue. Soaring from the glass are hedonistic aromatics of black cherry, blackberry and liquorice subtlety filtrated by elements of clove, smoked dried meats, vanillin cedar, earthy fennel and blackpepper. Rich and opulent, the palate has a smoky savouriness running through the black cherry, blackberry and liquorice fruit. Elements of clove, vanillin cedar, dried meats, fennel, earth and spicy pepper also chime in. Silky smooth tannins give the wine a very polished feel. Outstanding power and concentration finishing long, rich and savoury.
