Bright pale straw colour with subtle highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Lifted pear and citrus aromas are overlaid by wet slate characters with faint fresh herb and mineral notes also evident. Showing good intensity, flavours of pear and citrus are rounded out by some dried honey nuances and subtle green apple. Finishes dry with a lick of slate and fresh acidity. Medium to long pear, citrusy dried honey, light green apple and slatey mineral aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Other Reviews…..
The 2017 Chablis Terroir de Courgis, completely raised in tank, has a refined bouquet with smoke, mandarin, a hint of petrol and waxy scents, and just a hint of reduction. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, sappy and lively in the mouth with decent volume on the finish, if not quite the precision of the terroir de Chichée. Drink 2019-2022.

Neal Martin – Vinous

The 2017 Chablis Terroir de Courgis is superb, offering up aromas of crisp peach, green apple, ripe lemon and oystershell. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a glossy attack, a dense, tight-knit core and a long, tangy and saline finish. Give this a couple of years in the cellar, then follow it for a decade. Drink 2020-2030

This is about balance, allowing the apple, melon, lemon and stone flavors to express themselves. Picks up a touch of green plum on the finish. Drink now through 2024.
