2017 Paolo Scavino Dolcetto d'Alba

From 50 year old vines. Totally opaque black purple colour with a bright purple red hue. Aromas of inky plum, crushed dark cherries and liquorice meld with earth, fresh herb and spice notes. Juicy, ripe chewy flavours of dark plum, liquorice and dark cherries overlay a back drop of inky earth, infusions of incense and spice. Vibrant acid structure with slightly firmish tannins providing some grip on the medium to long finish.
