2017 Mr Riggs Montepulciano

Superb inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Freshly crushed black cherry, blackberry and liquorice aromas fill the nostrils overlaying some tobacco, inky earth, dried herb and spice elements. Luscious black and Morello cherry flavours along with liquorice fill the mouth supported by a sturdy underbelly of drying tannins and bright acidity. Tobacco, inky earth and spicy dried herb nuances are also present. Elegant, structured feel with an aftertaste of Morello and black cherries, liquorice, inky earth, tobacco, dried herbs and spice.
