Certified organic. Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Violet top notes overlay pronounced ripe dark cherry, strawberry and anise scents followed by subtle forest floor and spicy cedar. Rich and fleshy in texture, delicious ripe dark cherry, plum and anise flavours power across the palate underscored by well integrated toasty oak and spicy dried herb nuances. Velvet smooth tannins with a long generously fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
Warmer expression from Mt Ed, and savoury, for a producer that does finer, restrained wines for most part, an interesting, seasonal departure, but worthy.
Black cherry, black olive, dried roses petals and violets, earthy notes, undergrowth in perfume. Like this. It purrs then growls in the palate, lighter than expected, shimmering with light, red berry flavours with more of the very savoury bouquet in taste, rippling on emery board tannins, finishes long and bright. Serious. Drink 2020-2030.
