2017 Monterra Shiraz

Inky black dark red colour with a deep dark red black hue. Nosing reveals lifted aniseed and blackberry aromas over toasty vanillin oak, subtle earth and pepper notes. Full bodied, rich and dense the palate is awash with opulently textured liquorice, luscious blackberry and black cherry fruits which are underscored by toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper. A sturdy tannin structure is largely concealed by the fruit. Medium to long spicy dark fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
