2017 Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Potent aromas of liquorice, ripe black cherries and blackberries meld into vanillin oak, fennel and pepper. Super rich with a dense and voluptuous textural feel, the flamboyant palate is dominated by flavours of anise with luscious blackberry, toasty vanillin oak, fennel and spice also present. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power with some lingering heat on the long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

The full-bodied 2017 Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz ratchets up the intensity. It's a dark-fruited, super ripe, chocolaty mass that's given form on the palate by velvety tannins. A hint of raspberries is overpowered by charred oak and cola notes, but it does serve to lighten the overall impression, emerging on the finish to provide mouthwatering length. Drink 2019-2024.
