Matured for 18 months in a combination of new and old oak, mainly French. Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Wafting through the olfactory senses are heady aromas of dark plum, liquorice, dark chocolate and vanillin oak with hints of earth and spice also evident. Very plush and rich the palate is decked out with black plum, liquorice and dark chocolate flavours which possess an abundance of power and overlay toasty vanillin oak, light earth and cinnamon spice. Velvet smooth tannins with a long voluptuous finish.
