2017 Marchand & Burch Mount Barrow Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright red core with black tinged edges and a crimson red hue. Fragrant aromas of spicy dark cherries, anise and lightly toasted oak rise out of the glass with elements of forest floor and dried meats also evident. Savoury and elegant the palate features flavours of dark cherries married to anise, toasty oak, forest floor and dried meats. Finishes spicy with slightly dryish but fine grained tannins. Good depth with a medium to long aftertaste.
