The hot run of form for Kalleske continues with this outstanding Greenock Shiraz. Certified Organic this is a single vineyard wine produced from low yielding Shiraz vines on the Kalleske estate at Greenock, in the North-Western Barossa Valley. Cuttings for these vines originate from a vineyard planted on the property in the late 1800s. Maturation takes place in a combination of American and French oak hogsheads (35% new) for a period of 16 months.

A lavish, heavyweight Barossa Shiraz that will delight the senses of any hedonist.

The stunning 2017 Barossa vintage produced exceptional fruit for Kalleske’s Greenock Shiraz. Magnificent pitch black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Showing great potency the nose is bursting with dark plum, blackberry and liquorice allsorts fruits which integrate with subtle dark chocolate, toasty vanillin cedar, faint earth and spice notes. Full bodied, tremendously rich and opulent, a huge core of succulent dark plum, blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate flavours completely saturate the mouth. Underpinning the wealth of decadent fruit is toasty oak, subtle earth and spicy mocha. Outstanding power with perfectly judged acidity and texturally polished yet structural tannins. Prodigiously long finish of blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, chocolatey vanillin oak, faint mocha and spice.
