Impenetrable midnight black core with a deep dark red black hue. Powerful blackberry, liquorice and dark plum scents are followed by hints of black cherries, lightly toasted vanillin cedar, traces of earth and spicy dark chocolate. Rich and boasting great intensity, lusty flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plums, liquorice, dark chocolate and black cherries swamp the mouth with a base of firm ripe chewy tannins providing the framework. Elements of vanillin cedar, subtle earthy clove characters and spicy pepper are all also present. Opulently textured fruit with a long spicy ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, earthy vanillin cedar and pepper aftertaste.

Other Reviews….
Shiraz in Georgia’s Paddock in 2017 was really high cropping, but the quality was also there, says Emily Laughton, with an addendum that rain interspersed through ripening and picking drew out the season, to produce a relatively more elegant wine. “Georgia’s tends to be a more fruit driven wine”.
Mellow fog of perfume, dark cherries, faint lavender, warm forest berry compote, faint mint and fennel and a whiff of clove. Moody, lovely perfume. Fleshy textured but with defined ribbons of tannin, flavours dark, brooding, earthy, and drawn long. Seamless flow, superb ‘seasoning’ of oak, velvety but with enough grip to tune the palate. Excellent wine. Drink 2018-2030.
