2017 Hill Smith Estate Eden Valley Chardonnay

Matured for 9 months in French oak barriques. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a distinctive glimmer of green to the edges and a watery hue. Nosing evokes aromas of white peaches, nectarines, subtle dried honey, citrusy nougat and subtle flinty matchstick notes. Light to medium bodied with a fresh, elegant and faintly creamed mouthfeel the palate has flavours of nectarines and citrus married to traces of lemon butter, nougat and subtle gun flint infusions. Finishes dry with brisk, balanced acidity and an aftertaste of nectarines, citrus, gun flint, lemon nougat and spice.
