2017 Glaetzer Bishop Shiraz

Impenetrable pitch black in its appearance with a very deep dark red black hue. Lofty ripe blackberry, liquorice, cassis and dark plum aromas sail out of the glass followed by vanillin cedar, fennel and spicy pepper notes. Rich and fleshy the palate has ample drive with succulent blackberry, dark plum and liquorice flavours decorating the mouth over a back drop of spicy vanillin oak, fennel and pepper. Concentrated and focused, finishing with good freshness. Sturdy yet velvet like tannins with plenty of power to the aftertaste. A brighter and more elegantly styled Bishop.
