2017 Domaine de Saint-Pierre Les Brulees Chardonnay

The one Chardonnay produced in the year of frost, the 2017 Arbois Les Brulées Chardonnay fermented and matured in 1,200-liter oak vat. None of the wines have any added sulfur and are produced in a natural way, fermented with indigenous yeasts and are quite true to the soils. Despite being rich and round, this has energy and good acidity and finishes with a tasty, saline twist. The yields worked out at something like 0.3 hectoliters per hectare! Remarkable result, but catastrophic yield.
