André Brunel's family first settled in Châteauneuf du Pape in the 18th century, today they own 22 hectares in Châteauneuf du Pape and 11 hectares in the Côtes du Rhône. Wines are produced from estate grown grapes as well as grapes from neighbouring growers where Andre manages the vineyards.
A blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Cinsault and 10% Syrah. Pitch black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Showing ample intensity the nose features aromatics of black raspberry and liquorice subtlety infused with Herbs du Provence over scorched earth, subtle graphite and black pepper. Medium to full bodied with a succulent feel the palate is awash with rich black raspberry, blackberry and liquorice fruits which overlay a back drop of provincial dried herbs, scorched earth and blackpepper. Ripe, slightly chewy tannins with a long generous conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
