Intensely flavoured yet light and supple across the palate.
Dark red core with black tinged edges and a bright red hue. Blossoming out of the glass are fragrant scents of violets, ripe cherries, strawberries and anise with forest floor and spicy fresh herb notes ensuing. Light on its feet and very supple, delicious flavours of violet infused dark cherries and red plum decorate mouth with undertones of forest floor, faint smoky cedar and spicy fresh herbs. Nice bright finish with velvety tannins. Excellent power and a long savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
A blend of estate and contract-grown fruit ex Moorabool Valley, open-fermented with various vinification methods, the final blend 25% whole bunches, 5% new French oak. The vintage has imprinted this wine with intensity and complexity well beyond the norm. Red and purple fruits, spicy/savoury whole bunches nuances and thoroughly impressive length. Drink by 2027.
