Spread over 29 hectares made up of clay-limestone and sandy-silty soil and sub soil, Chateau L’Eglise is owned by the Dieuxyssies family which also run a thriving nursey business that provides young vines to growers across Bordeaux.
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc aged in oak barrels. Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Elegant aromas of red currant and mulberry meld into spicy vanillin cedar and earth. Medium bodied, soft and refined the palate features mulberry and red currant fruits over vanillin cedar, dusty earth and spice. Well integrated fine grained tannins with a graceful medium length finish. Great value entry level Bordeaux.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
