2017 Badgers Brook Chardonnay

Planted in 1989, the Badgers Brook vineyard is located in the Coldstream sub region of the Yarra Valley. Fermentation and maturation takes place in French oak barrels, 25% new, for a period of 11 months.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Elevated ripe white peach, fig and melon aromas are overlaid by honeyed characters with citrusy nougat and lightly spiced cashew notes ensuing. The rich, textured palate possesses mouthfilling flavours of peaches, fig and melon intermixed with dried honey, citrusy nougat, light cashew and spice. Finishes dry with good freshness and a long spicy peach, melon, fig, honeyed citrusy nougat and cashew aftertaste. From the excellent 2017 vintage, this delivers great value.
