Arboleda is the premium tier in the Eduardo Chadwick family of wines. The fruit for the Chardonnay is sourced from their Chilhue vineyard, a 1047 hectare property of rolling hills located just 12km from the Pacific Ocean which experiences similar conditions to that of Marlborough in New Zealand making it ideal for growing cool climate grape varieties.

Aged in second and third use French oak barrels for 11 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Pronounced white peach, ripe nectarine and subtle dried honey scents are complexed by hints of grapefruit, citrusy nougat characters and gun flint. Medium weighted the palate is layered with fleshy white peach and nectarine fruits that carry good freshness. Subtle dried honey, spicy nougat, citrus and traces of gun flint chime in on the long finish that picks up a gentle creaminess along the way. Perfectly balanced acidity with a prolonged aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13%

This has great freshness with pear, lemon and floral aromas and just a hint of toast. Sleek and elegant, but concentrated, with a long, polished, rather mineral finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

The Chardonnays that Francisco Baettig is making out on the Aconcagua Coast are some of the best in Chile right now. This is a little oakier than his Errázuriz bottling, but has the same freshness, elegance and minerality, complemented by some stone fruit sweetness. 2019-23.
