2017 Agathist Alchemy First Wine Grenache

Cloudy dark red colour with a light red hue. Pronounced black raspberry and liquorice aromas jump out of the glass trailed by dark plum, dried herbs and vanillin spice notes. A mixture of red, sour and dark cherry fruits are underpinned by very bright acidity that has a prickly edge to it. Notions of light earth and spicy dried herbs are also evident. Fine grained tannins finishing dry and sour with modest length.
