Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark crimson hue. Perfumed aromas of dark cherries, ripe strawberries and dark plums are overlaid by infusions of violets, meaty anise like characters, spicy cedar and subtle dried herb notes. Rich ripe dark fruit flavours of plums, rhubarbs and ripe dark cherries fill the mouth underpinned by subtlety smoked vanillin cedar, traces of meaty anise and spicy dried herbs. Supple, almost plump like texture with the tannins having a velvety feel. Excellent depth with a long ripe dark cherry, rhubarb, dark plum, smoky cedar, meaty anise and spicy dried herbs aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13%
