- Cellar Drink Now - 5 years (2019-2024)
- ABV 14%
- Closure: Cork
Aged for 18 months in a combination French oak and American oak (30% new), with the balance (70%) matured in second use oak. Midnight black dark red colour with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced aromatics of blackcurrant, a hint of liquorice and cedary tobacco characters drift from the glass trailed by earth, subtle dried herbs and spice. Full bodied with good richness and a fleshy yet elegant feel, the palate is flooded with ripe blackcurrant and liquorice fruit which is underpinned by vanillin cedar, earth, dried tobacco characters and spice. Ripe, velvet smooth tannins. Excellent length with a plush dark blackcurrant, cedary tobacco, dried herb and spicy earth aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
