2016 Umani Ronchi Podere Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of ripe Morello cherries and dark plum intermix with some liquorice, light scorched earth and dried herbs. Medium bodied, flavours of Morello cherries and plum are tied to dried herbs with some spicy earth characters evident on the dryish finish. Dry slightly chalky tannins. Modest aftertaste of earthy Morello cherries, dried herbs and spice.
