2016 Two Hands Lily's Garden Shiraz

Aged for 18 months in 9% new French oak hogsheads and puncheons with the remainder in 2-7 year old American and French oak. Magnificent impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black tinged hue. Wafting from the glass are heady scents of ripe blackberries, dark plum and liquorice which sit over a backdrop of vanillin cedar, subtle dark chocolate, a faint whiff of fennel and spice. Rich, plush and concentrated yet not over the top this beautifully balanced Shiraz is awash with lashings of blackberry, dark plum and liquorice fruits underpinned by vanillin cedar, subtle notions of dark chocolate and spice. Despite the richness of fruit the wine has a refined feel to it. Velvet smooth, perfectly integrated tannins. Excellent power finishing with a long aftertaste of blackberries, dark plums, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice.
