2016 Tscharke Gnadenfrei Grenache

Matured in old American hogsheads and bottled after only 10 months to ensure the style retains its vibrancy and fruit freshness. Deep purple red colour with a bright crimson red purple hue. Pretty aromas of red raspberries laced with hints of violets are intermixed with plum and incense infusions followed by some liquorice and spicy vanillin cedar. Light in weight yet possessing excellent concentration and richness the palate is filled with ripe dark raspberries, plums and a hint of liquorice over spicy vanillin oak and some faint earthy incense infusions. Vibrant lengthy finish with fine grained tannins and a long aftertaste of spicy dark raspberries, plums, liquorice, vanillin cedar and subtle incense.
