2016 The Wilson Vineyard Handplunge Shiraz

Impenetrable pitch black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Heady dark chocolate, liquorice and blackberry aromas rise out of the glass closely followed by vanillin oak, mocha and spice. The big rich palate has a dark opulent mouthfeel and is loaded with dark chocolate, blackberry, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak, light earth and spicy mocha flavours which are backed by a sturdy, slightly furry tannin structure. Excellent fruit concentration along with a fair old dose of oak. Long blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak, mocha and spice aftertaste.
