2016 The Graillot Project Syrah No. 2

Totally opaque dark red black core with a deep dark red black hue. Elevated dark cherry, plum and liquorice aromas are overlaid by dried clove and smoked meats with an undercard of vanillin cedar, dried herbs and pepper. Medium bodied with an elegant, refined mouthfeel, flavours of dark plums and dark cherries are infused with savoury dried clove tones. Smoky vanillin cedar, dried herb and pepper nuances ensue. Slightly dryish finish with finely grained tannins showing good integration. Long spicy plum, subtle liquorice, dried clove, smoky vanillin cedar and pepper aftertaste.
