Rich and plush the medium to full palate possesses juicy blackberry and liquorice flavours over a back drop of vanillin cedar, subtle dried apricot and spicy pepper. Fresh finish with slightly dryish finely grained tannins. Aftertaste of pepper, liquorice, black cherries, spicy vanillin cedar and faint notions of apricot.

Other Reviews….
This is all one could expect from a shiraz at this price, and then some. Its regional sources (McLaren Vale and Padthaway), 4% co-fermented viognier, structure and attitude are normally all the hallmarks of a wine selling for well over $20, not under $20. Its value is hard to beat, but this is also a serious wine that requires respect for its spicy/savoury black fruits, length and balance. Drink by 2031.
