2016 Tahbilk Chardonnay

Matured on yeast lees in a mix of new and older French oak barrels for 8 months. Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with gleaming tinges of green to the edges. Uplifted scents of peach, apricot, honeycomb and light butterscotch rise out of the glass over nougat and hints of spicy cinnamon. Rich creamy palate texture with flavours of peaches and apricots married to dried honey, lemon butter and spicy nougat. Soft acidity enhances the roundness of the mouthfeel. Aftertaste of peaches, apricots, lemon butter, dried honey and spicy nougat.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
