2016 Speri La Roverina Valpolicella Classico Superiore

Certified organic this is a blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 5% Molinara and 5% Oseleta grapes aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a bright red hue. Nosing offers up scents of ripe cherries and red raspberries subtlety overlaid with fresh herbs, earth and spice. Light in body but juicy in its feel the palate has succulent morello cherry and raspberry flavours over a dash of red liquorice, faint earth and spicy fresh herb infusions. Bright finish with good fresh acidity, refined tannins and a medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
