Sourced from vines planted in 1976. Brilliant very pale straw core with a light tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Steely lemon and lime aromas overlay slate and chalky notes with flinty mineral characters also apparent. Flavours of ripe limes, lemon and traces of orange infused with steely mineral characters sit atop some wet slate. Dry crisp finish with a long ripe lime, lemon, subtle orange, steely mineral and wet slate aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 10.5%

Other Reviews….
From the estate vineyard planted '76, early picked to retain natural balance/acidity - and succeeding. I'm mystified about the price compared to $40 for the premium Leo Buring Rieslings. Bright and juicy, it has great life, and history shows just how well this will age. Drink by 2031.
