2016 Sarsfield Estate Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak for 14 months. Semi translucent dark red colour with a light brick red hue. Aromas of ripe dark cherries and anise are compromised by some varnish like notes with hints of forest floor and spice also evident. Ripe spicy dark cherry flavours have a supple feel across the mid palate but finish a touch sharp. Some earthy anise characters are also present. Polished tannins but the conclusion is somewhat jagged.
