Dense pitch black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Wafting out of the glass are heady aromatics of liquorice, ripe blackberries and black cherries which are complimented by smoky vanillin oak, hints of dark chocolate and blackpepper. Decadently rich and luxurious in its feel, the palate is drenched in a mixture of luscious black cherry, liquorice and blackberry fruits which meld into notions of dark chocolate, scorched earth, vanillin oak and blackpepper. Superb power and opulence with velvety tannins and a long lush aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
While all the parcels of a rich, ripe Barossa shiraz are strutting their stuff, they've come together well to create a balanced wine. Full-bodied, ripe, plump tannins and a freshness overall. Drink by 2034.
