2016 Protos Roble Ribera Duero

Totally opaque dark purple black colour with a bright purple hue. Lifted ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas are followed by earthy incense like notes, hints of vanilla and spice. Rich chewy black cherry and liquorice flavours are to the fore, underpinned by vanillin oak, earth and spicy pepper. Dry finish with firmish ripe tannins and bright acidity. Chewy conclusion of black cherries, liquorice, vanillin oak, subtle earth and spicy pepper.
