The family behind Villa Le Corti, the Corsini Family, has an amazing history as winemakers that dates back to the 13th century making it one of the oldest Estates in Tuscany. Current custodian of the Corsini Empire is 22nd generation Duccio Corsini.
Very deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Sniffing reveals elevated aromatics of ripe red to black currants and dark cherry fruit which morphs into tobacco, light vanillin cedar, earth and dried herb notes. Savoury and richly fruited with bright red currants and dark cherries sitting over a dusty tobacco, light cedar, dried herb and spice back drop. Lively acidity freshens up the finish and slightly dryish but fine grained tannins provide structure. Long savoury aftertaste.
