2016 Poggio Anima Samael Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Impenetrable inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Aromas of black and dried cherries mingle with liquorice, scorched earth and peppered herbs. Rich with a tight inky feel, flavours of black cherries and liquorice meld into scorched earth, notions of tar and spicy dried herb characters. Dry finish with chewy tannins, bright acidity and a medium length aftertaste.
