2016 Pindarie Western Ridge Shiraz

Aged in predominately French oak. Inky black dark red colour with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced blackberry, liquorice and black cherry aromas are overlaid by smoky vanillin cedar, hints of fennel and blackpepper. Full in body, rich succulent flavours of ripe black cherries, blackberries and liquorice flood the mouth. Opulent feel with underlying elements of earthy dried meats, vanillin cedar and blackpepper. Slightly chewy but ripe tannins. Excellent power with a long blackpepper infused aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, blackberries, vanillin cedar and spicy scorched earth.
