Fermented with a combination of 90% whole berries and 10% whole bunches with maturation taking place in French oak barrels for a period of 10 months.
Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a light crimson red hue. Perfumed scents of violets, ripe cherries and strawberries intermix with hints of anise, some meatiness and spicy cedar. Light and fresh the palate is generously flavoured with ripe cherries and strawberries which have a supple feel over nuances of meatiness, light anise and spicy cedar. Slightly dryish but otherwise finely grained tannins with a lick of fresh acidity on the finish. Good power wave with a long aftertaste of ripe cherries, strawberries, dried meats, lightly toasted cedar and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
Sapid, cool and tangy red fruit, etched with the sort of fine-grained tannic composure and pulsing acidity, seldom seen outside of Burgundy. The oak sits in there somewhere, perfectly integrated. Like berries bursting through the mouth. The sweetness is detectable, yet never trop. A north-facing site, embedded with a soprano personality. Drink by 2025.
