$27. 99
Bottle
$335.88 Dozen
Cellar: 5 - 6 Years (2023-2024)
ABV: 13.5%
Closure: Stelvin

Fermented with 15% whole bunches and matured in 20% new and 1-5 year old French oak hogsheads for 15 months. Totally opaque black dark red core shows excellent depth with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant aromas intermingle with hints of mulberry over vanillin cedar, subtle earth and spicy dried herb notes. Medium to full bodied with a refined, elegant feel the palate also possesses good fruit richness. Flavours of ripe blackcurrant subtlety infused with bay leaf dominate over well integrated vanillin cedar and spicy herbs. Sturdy but fine grained tannins provide excellent support. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, ripe mulberry, vanillin cedar and subtle bay leaf.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews…
As with the Shiraz from the same vintage and vineyard, has restraint and detail. Excellent dark crimson; smells of the Aussie bush with gum leaves, wood smoke, warm earth, ferrous nuances and buckshot with a decent dose of blackberries and boysenberries. A structured yet buoyant palate, ribbons of tannin and a certain elegance seals the deal. Drink by 2030.
