2016 McGlashan Wallington Estate Single Stave Chardonnay

This Chardonnay was 75% tank fermented and 25% barrel fermented on yeast lees for 6 months. Brilliant straw colour with a glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Pronounced ripe peach and apricot aromas intermix with dried honey characters followed by citrusy nougat and light spice end notes. Rich, broadly textured mouthfeel with a lick of acidity freshening up the finish. Flavours of ripe peaches and apricots dominate over subtle infusions of dried honey and citrusy nougat. Clean dry finish with an aftertaste of ripe peaches, apricots, dried honey, citrusy nougat and delicate spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
