Other Reviews….
The Yakka vineyard has been a good performer over the years.
Plush but cool, if that makes sense. It’s not baked or thick; it’s juicy and lively, though the fruit is ripe and indeed has some sweetness. Happy days. Plums, red cherries, sawdust, cloves and woodsmoke. A splash of dry herbs, but not in an overt way. This wine will appeal to those who enjoy lashings of shiraz fruit but don’t mind a bit of elegance. A bit of finesse. Tannin continue that latter theme. The word latticework comes to mind. It’s an excellent release. Drink 2019-2032+
