2016 Lenton Brae Southside Chardonnay

Matured in new and used French oak barrels. Brilliant pale straw colour with hints of green to the edgings and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine, dried honey and citrusy grapefruit like notes emerge from the glass followed by faint nougat and subtle flinty matchstick notes. Rich white peach and nectarine flavours fill the mouth leaving dried honey, citrusy nougat, light cashew and matchstick characters on the back palate. Creamy like feel finishing with good balanced freshness and a medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
