2016 Kurtz Family Vineyards Boundary Row Shiraz

Matured in a combination of seasoned and new oak for 26 months. Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep black dark red hue. Heady liquorice, blackberry liqueur and black cherry aromas meld into vanillin oak, some mocha, fennel and subtle spicy leather notes. Rich, opulently textured blackberry, liquorice and black cherry flavours flood the mouth with underlying toasty vanillin oak, fennel, earth and spicy mocha characters. The plush, concentrated fruits backed by velvet like yet sturdy tannins and well balanced acidity. Finishes medium to long with lush black fruits and a dash of emerging blackpepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
