Greenock Shiraz is a single vineyard wine produced from low yielding Shiraz vines on the Kalleske estate at Greenock, in the North-Western Barossa Valley. Cuttings for these vines originate from a vineyard planted on the property in the late 1800s. Certified organic this wine is made in open-top fermenters, basket pressed and matured in new (35%) and seasoned American and French oak hogsheads for 14 months.

An impeccably crafted Barossa Shiraz loaded with class.

Superb colour density displaying an impenetrable inky black core and a deep bright dark red black hue. Pronounced dark plum, liquorice and freshly crushed blackberry aromas drift from the glass underscored by faint hints of dried clove, vanillin cedar and spice. Rich, plush and seductive the palate is flooded with succulent ripe dark plum, freshly crushed blackberry and liquorice flavours. Elements of dried clove, vanillin cedar and spice in the background. Fresh, vibrant finish with silky smooth tannins. Excellent power with a long dark plum, liquorice, blackberry juice, subtle dried clove and spicy vanillin cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc. 14.5%
